[Kor/Eng] CUROGEN Granted R&D Funding under the Global Scale-up TIPS Program
<큐로젠, 글로벌 스케일업 팁스 선정>
큐로젠이 중소벤처기업부의 ‘글로벌 스케일업 팁스(Global Scale-up TIPS)’ 연구개발 과제에 최종 선정됐다. 이번 선정을 통해 큐로젠은 3년간 총 20억 원의 정부 연구개발비를 지원받을 예정이다.
이번 과제는 큐로젠의 차세대 나노바디 기반 신약 모달리티 CR-Nx를 활용한 자가면역질환 치료제 개발을 목표로 한다. CR-Nx는 소형 나노바디(VHH)에 다중표적 동시 제어 기술과 신규 링커 기반 반감기 연장 기술을 결합한 플랫폼으로, 복합적인 염증 경로를 하나의 치료제로 동시에 조절할 수 있도록 설계됐다.
큐로젠은 이번 과제를 통해 CR-Nx의 약효, 약동학, 안전성 및 개발 가능성을 단계적으로 검증하고, 임상 개발을 위한 유망 후보물질을 확보할 계획이다. 또한 다양한 표적 조합과 적응증으로 플랫폼을 확장해 후속 파이프라인을 개발하고, 글로벌 기술이전 및 공동개발을 통한 사업화 기회를 확대해 나갈 예정이다.
이번 글로벌 스케일업 팁스 선정을 계기로 큐로젠은 독자적인 나노바디 플랫폼 기술을 고도화하고, 차세대 자가면역질환 치료제 개발을 위한 글로벌 경쟁력을 강화해 나갈 계획이다.

<CUROGEN Granted R&D Funding under the Global Scale-up TIPS Program>
CUROGEN has beened for the Global Scale-up TIPS R&D program administered by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (MSS) of Korea. Through the program, CUROGEN will receive a total of KRW 2 billion in government R&D funding over three years.
The project will focus on the development of CR-Nx, CUROGEN’s next-generation nanobody-based drug modality for autoimmune diseases. CR-Nx combines small-sized nanobodies (VHHs) with multi-target simultaneous modulation and a novel linker-based technology for extended half-life, designed to address multiple inflammatory pathways through a single therapeutic modality.
Through the project, CUROGEN plans to evaluate the efficacy, pharmacokinetics, safety, and overall development potential of CR-Nx and advance promising candidates toward clinical development. The company also aims to expand the platform across diverse target combinations and therapeutic indications, supporting the development of follow-on pipelines and potential global licensing and co-development opportunities.
Through the Global Scale-up TIPS program, CUROGEN will further advance its proprietary nanobody platform and strengthen its global competitiveness in the development of next-generation therapies for autoimmune diseases.
